I started with Emerge in September 2010. My role at Emerge is a Supported Employment/Transition Consultant. This role enables me to interact with a wide variety of people, where the concept of ‘Ako’ (sometimes learner, sometimes teacher) is very much reflected in my interactions with both students and my supported employment clients. This shared learning has given me an insight in to, and appreciation of, the challenges some people face and their determination in the face of such challenges.
I have qualifications in media, and adult literacy, and a strong interest in journalism.
I enjoy working at Emerge and fully support the core values at the heart of the organisation and it’s focus on inspiring and empowering its clients.
