Nick Ruane has a background in Law, Commerce, Political Science and Education. Nick is a Board member for Disabled Persons Assembly, which gives him access to the highest levels of government as well as a connection to the disability community at grass roots level. In addition, he sits on several government appointed boards in the disability sector. Nick also holds board seats in with organisations dealing with Sports infrastructure management and Community Asset management.
Nick is a disability sector knowledge expert who provides advice to the public sector on the topics of accessibility and inclusion.
From 2010 to 2013 Nick represented New Zealand in para triathlon, winning 3 national titles, 1 Oceania title, a Silver medal, and top 10 placing at World Championship races in Las Vegas and Auckland.
