MSD’s Mainstream Programme
The Mainstream Programme is run by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD). It encourages public service organisations to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities by offering a generous salary subsidy over a 2-year placement.
Mainstream provides an opportunity for people to begin, or restart their career.
It allows you to increase capability in your team by adding an extra staff member. This can help spread the workload and reduce the pressure on your staff.
Emerge staff are experienced Mainstream placement specialists. We tailor positions to meet the needs of both your organisation and the Mainstream candidate. We provide ongoing support and advice to you and your new staff member for the duration of the programme.
